Integrity Training and Education Centre for Health (ITECH) is a Namibian not-for-profit organization established in 2025 as the direct successor to the International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) Namibia, which implemented health programs in Namibia under the University of Washington (UW) for more than two decades. As a locally registered and governed organization, ITECH maintains the experienced workforce, well-established operational and financial systems, and extensive national footprint developed over the years. The organization continues to leverage its trusted relationships with the Ministry of Health and Social Services, regional health authorities, implementing partners, and communities to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and locally led health programs across Namibia.
ITECH is committed to strengthening Namibia’s health system by providing technical assistance, capacity building, health workforce development, strategic information, monitoring and evaluation, and program implementation support. Through this transition to an independent Namibian organization, ITECH is well positioned to ensure continuity of services while advancing country ownership and the long-term sustainability of health interventions.

Since 2004, ITECH has been a vital partner in strengthening Namibia’s healthcare system. Based in Windhoek, our work extends across the country to address critical health challenges, specifically focusing on the high prevalence of HIV and the shortage of skilled healthcare workers. By partnering with the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS), the University of Namibia, and the Namibia Defence Force, we ensure that high-quality clinical care and prevention services reach the communities that need them most.
Our footprint on this map represents two decades of evolving support. Initially focused on the nationwide training of physicians, pharmacists, and nurses in HIV and TB care, ITECH has expanded into direct service delivery. This includes flagship prevention programs like DREAMS for adolescent girls, Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC), and the rollout of PrEP. Through the use of innovative distance learning technologies like Project ECHO, we continue to bridge the gap between urban centers and rural facilities, ensuring a robust and sustainable health workforce for all of Namibia.
